What is CAMRA?

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale is an independent, voluntary organisation campaigning for real ale, community pubs and consumer rights.

CAMRA was formed in March 1971 by four men from the north-west who were disillusioned by the domination of the UK beer market by a handful of companies pushing products of low flavour and overall quality onto the consumer.

Christmas Savings Club

Here at The Royal Standard we are already thinking of Christmas 2014.  Far too often people (including us) let Christmas sneak up on us & suddenly, somewhere around late October or early November, it hits us: Christmas is right around the corner and our budget is going to have to catch up!

So start your planning early and join our Thrift Club next year and spread the cost of your Christmas.

The savings club starts again on Friday 10th January 2014 and runs every Friday between 7.00pm & 9.00pm

You can save as much as you like and of course by the time Christmas comes around again you will have a nice cash lump sum in your pocket to help with the costs. If you would like to join have a chat with Tim, Jenny or Franky at the pub or stop by on the 10th and sign up.
